Sewer & Main Line Repair in Clearwater, FL

When every drain in the house backs up at once, the main is the problem. We clear it, find the cause and repair the line.

Sewer & main lines

The line every drain depends on

Every sink, tub and toilet in your home empties into one main line that runs under the slab and out through the yard to the city sewer.

When it clogs, water comes up wherever the lowest drain is, usually a shower or a ground floor toilet.

We clear the stoppage first, then run a camera to see why it happened. Roots, a sagging section, a cracked fitting and old cast iron that has scaled shut are the usual answers.

If the pipe is sound, a cleaning is the fix. If it is broken, we show you the footage and repair it.

What we handle

Main line work we do

Main line stoppages cleared, cleanouts added, broken sewer lines dug out and replaced.

  1. Main line stoppages

Cleared through an existing cleanout, or by pulling a toilet when the house has no cleanout.

  2. Sewer camera inspections

Footage of the line from the house toward the street, with the location of any defect.

  3. Root removal

Roots cut out of the line and the pipe flushed, with a plan if they keep coming back.

  4. New cleanouts

An outside cleanout makes the next stoppage a quick visit. We add them to lines that lack one.

  5. Yard line repair and replacement

Broken or sagging sections dug out and replaced with new PVC, then tested and backfilled.

  6. Under slab drain repair

When a drain fails under the house, we open the floor at the break and replace the section.

Signs the main line is the problem

  • Toilets gurgle or bubble when the washer drains
  • Water comes up in the shower when a toilet flushes
  • Every drain in the house is slow at the same time
  • Soggy or sunken spots in the yard along the sewer path
  • A sewage smell outside near the cleanout

FAQ

Sewer & Main Line Repair questions

Anything else, call (727) 420-1941.

Do you have to dig up my yard?

Not always. Many stoppages clear from a cleanout, and a camera inspection tells us whether the pipe itself is damaged. When a section is broken, we dig at that section and backfill once the repair passes its test.

My house has no cleanout. Can you still clear the main?

Yes. We can clear the line by pulling a toilet, and we can add an outside cleanout so the next visit is faster and cleaner.

What causes main line backups in older homes?

In homes built before the mid 1970s, cast iron drain pipe scales from the inside and can crack. Older clay and joint-style lines let roots in. A camera shows which one you have.
